This page is devoted to path to become a Animal Rescue techs.

Update: I'm now 1 of 5 Animal Rescue Techs on the Swift water / flood rescue team. We had a lot of training now and work to keep our skills sharp.

National Incident Management System's resource typing requires that swift water / dive rescue teams have an animal rescue tech.

Jan. 21, 2006 world Horse Expo. Seminar on animal rescue following hurricanes. Focus was on work in Mississippi. 4000 animals were saved in the state of Mississippi.

May 1-2 Animal First aid for Fire/EMS/Rescue personnel. Location is Baltimore. Provider in American Humane Org.

June 22-24, 2008  Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue, 6 people (myself included) have now complete large animal rescue. We continue to look for additional training. I also took equine cruelty investigation / Large animal rescue  through Days end Farm July 16th and 17th 2008.


Equipment is still a bit of an issue. I purchased my first animal Control Pole. It has a place on our swiftwater rescue vehicle. We continue to gather more equipment as we get the chance.

Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue, Inc.

This Group provided some great training. lots of hands on.


Days End Farm (Rescue center)

This has been a great source for training for training. i have taken both large animal rescue and Equine Cruelty investigation.
